Rotary Cutters: How to Hold and Safety
Flying Geese Block
Rose Smith of Ludlow Quilt and Sew, UK shows her quick and easy way to make 4 Flying Geese Blocks at one time. I think I’d use my rotary cutter in the final step, but otherwise this looks like a great method!
Group Art Quilt
I search for videos involving quilting all the time and this one really stood out for one reason – the laughter!! These ladies (I have no idea who they are) are working together to make an art quilt and the fun that they had is very obvious in the video. If you don’t have a group or a friend to quilt with, may I suggest putting up a note at the library or somewhere in your town where you can make “quilting friends” and enjoy the comaraderie and the challenging that comes with viewing quilts and quilting through another’s eyes. For online quilting friends, I highly recommend The Quilting Board.

Flying Geese Ruler
It’s not often that I’ll post a video of a product, however I am very familiar with the high quality and standards of Lazy Girl Designs and this ruler is truly a time saver and fabric saver – making it doubly valuable in my book. Here’s a video from Connecting Threads showing how to use the ruler to make “no waste”, easy, practically perfect flying geese.
