Marci Baker of Alicia’s Attic shows very clearly how to miter quilt bindings for odd angles. She’s one of my favorite video makers! She demonstrates the techniques so clearly that I want to go make an unusually shaped quilt, just to try this out :)

This is a great video on the technique of joining the binding ends by the gals at Alicia’s Attic. I really learned something from the “don’t press the binding before sewing” part.

Eleanor Burns gives a great tutorial for sewing binding onto a quilt. Notice how she leaves her backing and backing larger than the top!

Eleanor Burns (the Queen of Quilting) shows how to sew on the binding strips and sew the corners for a perfect fit. Eleanor is a fantastic teacher and her series of shows on PBS continues to draw viewers and her books are very popular.

She is one of the most fun people and if you ever have a chance to attend a class, retreat or workshop with her you’ll treasure it forever!
