Meet Maggie Ball

Maggie Ball’s first two books were about quilting with children and her newest two take traditional quilt blogs and give them a twist. Her newest book, Bargello Quilts with a Twist, shows her easy to follow method for making a bargello quilt from blocks instead of strips.

Transplanted to Bankbridge Island, Washington, she is a native of the United Kingdom. Maggie is also a gardener, quilting teacher lecturer and a strong supporter of the Mongolian Quilt Project. Her website is Dragonfly Quiltsand she loves to travel and teach quilting.

Maggie Ball is a published author with four books to her credit. Her first two books are about quilting with children and her subsequent books, Traditional Quilts with a Twist and Bargello Quilts with a Twist, make use of her innovative thinking to re-invent traditional quilt making techniques and designs.

In this video Maggie talks about the classes, lectures and trunk shows that she offers to teach for shops, guilds and retreats. Don’t let her charming accent frighten you ($$), she’s easily accessible on Bainbridge Island, Washington state, USA.
